Stanley Records is very happy to announce the signing of 2 extraordinary artists in Katie Brianna and Peta Caswell & The Lost Cause.
Katie Brianna was first “discovered” by Paul Kelly at the age of 15 and her last album was up for a Golden Guitar Award (her second nomination) but expect the unexpected when her new album arrives in September. The album is being produced by labelmate and frequent collaborator, Adam Young (ex-Daisygrinders, Big Heavy Stuff) and her song writing has never been stronger. Her band on the album features Young, as well as members of the Cruel Sea, the Re-Mains and Spurs For Jesus.
Peta Caswell’s surname may sound familiar. She is the niece of legendary Australian singer/songwriter, Allan Caswell, and talent definitely runs in the family. Peta appeared on last year’s ground-breaking Take Me To Town compilation and when many were asked what their favourite tracks on the album were, Peta’s name was the most frequent response and she received a wealth of airplay as a result. The band’s soulful alternative country rock sound is the perfect accompaniment for Peta’s powerhouse voice. The self-titled EP from Peta Caswell & The Lost Cause drops May 3, with the debut album following early in 2020.
